We visited the home of a famous WWI hero from Tennessee. We toured a home gifted to him after the war, had a picnic at a gristmill on the river, and then went on a ranger-led auto tour of some important sites around his home. I didn’t know a lot about Alvin prior to visiting this state park. I always find it more interesting to learn about things where they happened.
