8 miles of protected beach with VERY few people to share it with made this day at the beach elite. The entire Gulf Islands National Seashore is one of the most visited National Park Service sites, but you wouldn’t know it while at the Santa Rosa Area. It was beautiful and, more importantly, very peaceful. …

We were in search of the best bike ride in a state park in the 30A area, and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park seemed to be it. We rented bikes from them and struck out into the dune forest for some biking. Along the way, we visited a couple of rare dune lakes and then …

Super Rare Dune Lakes Straight Into The Gulf – Grayton Beach SP
We visited Grayton Beach State Park and went paddling in a coastal dune lake. Evidently, only a handful of these coastal dune lakes like this occur on Earth. It’s been almost a year since we went RV’ing. Since the last trip, my tow vehicle (2019 RAM 1500) crossed over 100,000 miles (and the certified pre-owned warranty expired). I needed to decide what to do about that. • Our Tow Truck (What We Started With) • What Has It Costs Us So Far? • …

White Sands National Park and White Sands Missile Range
Emmaline left us to head back home, leaving two grown adults on their own in the desert. So we did what any responsible (?!?) adults would do in that situation…went sand sledding! After that, I obtained a top-secret security clearance to access a missile testing facility. Lets! Go!
Big Bend Ranch State Park & Fort Davis National Historic Site
