Hiking Pickett CCC Memorial State Park

WOW! Pickett was superb! I think this was the best state park we’ve visited this year. Everything we did on this visit was excellent. The 5 trails we hiked were all excellent with very interesting things to see all along the way (natural bridges, caves, streams, plants, mushrooms, waterfalls, ladders, etc.). The food was excellent (even though it was in a gas station). The stargazing was the best we’ve experienced in the state. The only bad thing was the bugs and that we didn’t get to explore everything fully. Oh well, we’ll have to go back (with some extra bug spray)!
