“Tourist-ing” Knoxville (Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, Museum of Appalachia, & AMSE)

While we were in the Knoxville, TN area for fall break we visited some of the popular touristy spots. If I had to force rank them I’d say 1) Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, 2) Museum of Appalachia, then 3) American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE). I’m a sucker for history and all three of these places do a good job of taking you back in time to see some real history.
