8 days of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains!  We did 78 miles and 2 1/2 miles of elevation gain hiked over 8 days inside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park!  We saw most of the big waterfalls and a couple of mountain tops.  I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary last week!  Hiking trails to the top of mountains and to waterfalls is a lot like a 25-year marriage.  Stay the course and get rewarded with many spectacular times along the way!  We started off hiking to the top of Mt. LeConte.  We did a bunch of waterfalls in between.  Then we ended up the trip on Charlie’s Bunion mountain peak.  Spectacular!
