When we travel we usually have a schedule that keeps us moving. Midway through our trip to East TN, we slowed down a bit. Roan Mountain State Park was our home base for much of the trip. We planned a day there to see it…and it alone. The truck wheels barely spun this day. We did a couple of hikes and saw a couple of the exhibits. Then we relaxed by the campfire that night. Weird?!? Is this how you are supposed to do it?!?
