On our visit to Santa Fe, New Mexico we drove up to Los Alamos to visit the Manhattan Project National Historical Park. This was a bust! COVID had the operating schedule fouled up and we didn’t get to see a lot. We completely salvaged the day, however, when we stopped at our next stop, Tsankawi Ruins. This area is a part of Bandelier National Monument (well north of the rest of it). We stopped for a very interesting hike (and several ladder climbs). I might have even hidden in some of the cliff dwellings to dodge lightning strikes. The volcanic tuff rock landscape here is one of the more interesting ones I’ve seen. Tsankawi FTW!!!
