Everglades National Park – Gulf Coast Area (Kayaking and Boat Tour)

Our first day in the Everglades National Park was in Everglade City, Florida. We visited the Gulf Coast Visitors Center of the Everglades National Park. The Gulf Coast Area leads into the 10,000 Islands. We took a boat tour into this area and out to the Gulf of Mexico. Everglades City is the Stone Crab capital of the world so Max and I fueled up on those before going kayaking. Our kayaking trip started back at the Gulf Coast Visitors Center. There are many route options but we stayed close to shore and went back up a little creek area. Arden took all our money with her deceptively good poker skills. Broken, we took in a beautiful gulf coast sunset before heading to Naples, Florida for dinner. After dinner, Emily forced me to walk the plank out to the end of the very long Naples Pier in the dark (scary/not relaxing).
