On our return trip of Spring Break, I wanted to mark another National Monument off my list. We visited St. Augustine, Florida to see the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. This fort was built in America’s oldest city which was settled in 1565. I got more than I bargained for when we hit downtown St. Augustine. It was so busy that the internet didn’t even work. We went with the flow and wound up spending an enjoyable day in the 465-year-old city. The next day we caught sunrise near Anastasia State Park before heading north.
