Johnsonville State Historic Park – New Johnsonville, TN

We drove across the lake (from staying at Nathan Bedford Forrest SP) to visit Johnsonville State Historic Park. Nathan Bedford Forrest was who attacked Johnsville during the Civil War. I guess that interconnects these two state parks in some way. We visited the interpretive center (which I highly recommend) for a quick movie. Then we hiked all around the Civil War site. Somewhere along the way, we picked up MANY chiggers (NOT highly recommended)!
