Fort Loudoun State Historic Park (in Vonore, TN) has a reconstructed English fort from the mid-1700s used during the French and Indian War. Emily had us on a tight timeline (due to her dog’s potty schedule). She said we had 10 minutes to explore the whole thing. It took much longer! Ha! Later that afternoon we rushed back to Chattanooga to get to Raccoon Mountain Caverns before they closed. We made it in time but found out they were doing a special late Lanterns and Legends tour (cave tour sans lights except from one fire wick lantern). We opted for this spooky Halloween version of the tour. Did we make it out of the depths of the underworld alive?
