Sunrise and Sunset at Natchez Trace State Park

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan when traveling to a new place. We were winter camping but the weather was beautiful and not too cold at all. I planned a big hike, but we punted on that when we got to the campground. We had a great lakeside spot. I decided we needed to hang out and watch the sunset. But first, we’d get an early dinner. Dinner was a fail (new owners evidently). We found Emily a hot fudge cake sundae (to slightly redeem things). The sunset didn’t pop the way I wanted but it was a beautiful sky regardless. We wound up watching a movie in the RV which we never do and it was fun. I tried again at sunrise with the same result (beautiful but different than expected). Nothing on this trip was what I expected. Sometimes, however, that is exactly what you need to happen.
