On our family vacation, the entire extended family headed out for an afternoon at Burgess Falls State Park. We were the last few cars to make it into the parking lot before they filled up. Part of the adventure on a very busy Memorial Day weekend was finding a parking space. Once we accomplished that we made the short hike to the falls. There are several waterfalls along the way and they are all beautiful. The final one is spectacular. I kept thinking about how long it took the water to carve this canyon below the overlook. We hiked down to the top of the waterfall before heading back home to swim and complete puzzles.
